Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Congrats to me on my half and full marathon, The Todd's annual Disney trip, Happy Birthday Eden (and me), and my last minute girls trip to Florida. Did I miss anything? I hope not. I thought I would get the description over in one post so when I finally post some pics you'll know what is going on.
The Holidays:Thanksgiving we stayed home and enjoyed wonderful weather and AMAZING food! Christmas was white! We spent it in Draper and had a blast snowmobiling and taking the kids on the Polar Express. New Years couldn't have been better. We spent it in San Diego. The weather was incredible (to say the least) and we caught a Chargers game and scored on some awesome seats!
Our annual Disney was a success. Tyler and I LOVE Disney! We are seriously such nerds. My husband more than me. I had to remind him 5 times that we are actually here for our children. He tends to forget!
My half marathon was a lot of fun. I wasn't planning on it, but my brother was doing it so I jumped on board and beat him and his two friends he brought with him! BOOYA! The marathon was just that.... a marathon! It was tough, exhilarating, fun, emotional, and more. I loved it! In training I said NEVER AGAIN. I said the same thing as I was climbing a steep hill at mile 17.5. I pushed through and finished strong, under 4 hours. I was pleased. I do want to beat it now... someday.
Eden turned 5! Say it isn't so! I can't believe I have a 5 year old! We had quite the celebration. We did our family party at Pirate Pizza. My kids love that spot. She was very particular for her Birthday Party. She had a Barbie Fashion show Party! Turned out super cute! We actually did a joint party with one of my friends. Thanks Brittany! I wouldn't have pulled off the cute party without you. I'm glad we did it together. We had a great turn out with the glam girls in their fashion show attire. We accessorized and did make overs before they went down the cat walk. Absolutely adorable!
We spent my Birthday in Vegas Baby! ha ha! I wanted to have a fun family day because I was leaving for Florida for a week. We took the kids to the Mirage to see the dolphins, white tigers, and lions. It was pretty amazing. The animals were beautiful!
I was able to take off to Florida for the week because my best friend had her baby a month early. Poor thing... she had the baby all by herself because her hubby was in Aruba for business. They baby came so unexpectedly. Her husband got home as soon as he could, but not soon enough. He missed the birth of his first child...SAD! Baby Eli was in the NICU for a week so Di and I flew out to Fort Lauderdale and surprised her the night she brought him home. It was so fun to be there for her! Her mom wasn't able to come for another month so she was thrilled to have the help.
Anyway, there you have it.... All caught up! I promise to never make a ridiculous long post like this ever again! So here is to everyone making fun of me at the park last week... I LOVE YOU!

Baby Thomas turned two! I think he now loses the baby in front of his name. It was a huge success. I made him a race car cake because he was obsessed with the disney movie Cars. It has now moved to trains! They change quickly! Mommy sure made him happy with her cake decorating skills (ha ha)!

Florida Fun

I took the kids to Florida for three weeks this summer. Tyler came for half the time and then he had to get back to work. We had to get out of the desert heat. It was nothing but wonderful! The kids thought they were at the zoo with all the birds, bugs, and frogs! They fed baby ducks right off the dock, rescued a turtle and a duck from the pool, found huge grasshoppers and tree frogs, and went on boat rides every night. You'd think three weeks would be plenty long, but I was not ready to leave paradise. Why would you want to leave this...?

Keys Disease

The title says it all, I was infected. I love the Keys. I looked forward to that weekend for months and I was not disappointed in the least. Okay, that might be a little white lie. We did miss the shark feeding where supposedly 10 ft bull and lemon sharks come up to the dock when the midnight fishing boat comes in. I guess that will just have to be next time. We had an amazing tour guide (thanks Landon) and his wife was even better! haha! Love you Mel! Thanks for the good time Mel and Landon. We will definitely be back. Thanks mom and dad for watching our children. I'm glad they were angels for you!

Memphis

The kids and I went and supported Nathan for his white coat ceremony. It was a quick trip, but managed to see a lot of the city and eat some awesome BBQ. We took the kids to the zoo, the children's museum, and had a fun evening watching the sun set on the Mississippi River. I love the south.

Or should I say PS... ( you guys missed out... you know who you are) We lucked out with the weather and our personal 5 star resort! We were just "livin' our life" enjoying the pool, playing tennis, and our not so sees candy! SERIOUSLY good times because no kids were invited on this get away. Next stop... Orlando and the FLORIDA KEYS!

Cabin Trip

We went up to the cabin at Panguitch Lake for memorial weekend and had a blast! It was a cold and rainy weekend, but we still got some fun rhino rides in. We had to stay bundled to keep warm. We saw a ton of deer and were attacked by crazy bugs down by the lake. It was a nice escape up into the mountains. Even though we had a cabin full of crazy little ones it was peaceful to just hang out on the deck and roast some incredible smores! Thanks Cam! He made an art of it! Good times!

I already miss these evenings! For all you desert rats out there, you can relate. Spring is my favorite season by far. I guess that is why I love southern California so much. It is spring all year round! Anyway, for our two weeks of spring we walked to the school by our house and we all played. Eden rode her scooter, Thomas skated with dad, and mom would sometimes see how quickly she could run a mile around the track. We were all happy and the kids slept great. I just wish our spring evenings lasted longer.

How could the mother of these children not be happy? These little angels bring me so much joy. I cannot imagine my life, let alone a day without them. My world is brighter because of their presence. Pretty In Pink

Eden turned 4 In February and had a Pink Party. It was a success. Everything was pink! They decorated pink purses and pink tiara's. Games included chubby bunny with pink marshmallows, musical chairs, and the kids favorite "Don't Eat Pinkey!" We served strawberry yogurt with granola, bagels with strawberry cream cheese, and Shirley Temples! I then read them Pinkalicious while they enjoyed their pink cupcakes! And when it was all over I took a great sigh of relief!

Here are a few pics of the best girls trip yet! I seriously love that city. I am happy to just walk around and people watch all day. It started off with Di having to roll down the window in the taxi the whole way to our hotel while it was 25 degrees outside! No worries... I'd rather be cold then thrown up on. We get to the hotel and she dashes straight to the bathroom! Great start! My mom and I just look at each other and both say "Who invited the pregnant girl?" She didn't know until she was nauseous in the cab. She handled a hard core 4 days of lots of walking and little eating newly pregnant! GO DI! You get a reward for that because I wouldn't have been such a trooper! Anyway, we shopped, shopped, and did some more shopping. I had my eyes peeled for SJP the whole time, but she never showed. Met up with my cousin Lindsay and her hubby who live there. It was really fun having people we know to give us some much needed guidance. We did manage to get lost... more than once. Thanks Linds!!! Did some sightseeing.... Ground Zero, Times Square, Battery Park, etc.... And saw Mary Poppins which was fabulous! Thanks mom for a great trip!

A few weeks ago we went up to our friends cabin in Kolob. It was absolutely beautiful! The kids threw rocks in the lake, the guys took the rhinos out, and the girls just hung out and talked! The weather was perfect. We did tin foil dinners, but forgot the charcoal for the grill. The guys were gone when dinner needed to be started, but no worries... Tricia had a fire blazing in two seconds! I was so impressed!

Where Oh Where Have the Todd's Been?

Many of you may be wondering where we have been. The truth is...LAZY! I will do my best to catch you up. We will start with how we spent our summer. I think it consisted of swimming, swimming, and more swimming. Sadly, it was such a daily occurrence I don't have any pictures of it. I'm not that bad of a mom. I do have some video. Once I told Eden she was not allowed to wear the life jacket anymore it took her all of 30 seconds to learn how to swim. Thomas would plunge right off the shamu shelf into the deep blue and had no reaction as I pulled him out of his drowning state. The kid is CRAZY! We also had a fun night at the Washington County fair. Eden just ate it up! Literally, she had shaved ice and funnel cake all over her when we left! I remember because I had to soak her cute white shorts in bleach!We made it up the mountains to the Lake Panguitch cabin where we rode the rhino and watched hot air balloons. Tyler and I did manage an adult only weekend in Lake Powell with our friends! It was probably the best weekend of our summer!

Disneyland

Last weekend we took a trip to Disneyland. Eden was so excited she was counting down the days. When it came down to it I don't know who had more fun... the kids or the adults. It really is the happiest place on earth!!! We went with our friends the Algers and had an absolute blast. After our trip to Disney we headed down south stopping to see old friends along the way. First stop, San Clemente to see "Uncle Monti" who Eden just adores! Of course I had to hit the rip curl outlet and the rainbow outlet. Made a fun day for me! Then onward to San Diego to hang out with Josh and Dianna and Mel and Landon. As always it was hard to come back, but we had a wonderful weekend!

We had a fun Easter this year. Eden was very excited over the egg hunts. We did a small one in our yard on Easter morning and then she had a big one with her cousins at Granny and Popsies house. She was so funny. Every egg she found she let out a shrill of excitement. It was entertaining to watch the kids run around finding eggs. As for Thomas, he looked cute and watched his big sister with wonder.

Girls Weekend

For my Birthday Tyler sent me to my old stomping grounds for some much needed girl time. I was worried about leaving the kids (especially baby Thomas), but once I was gone it was pure BLISS! I felt like a person again and not just a mom! We had so much fun riding bikes and shopping the coast! I miss my girls and I miss San Diego! I now have the California blues and am dying to move back again. I guess that is why I changed my blog to the palm trees and water! Props to Tyler. He even managed Thomas' 3:30 am feedings. He's an awesome husband and a wonderful father. I think the kids enjoyed quality time with daddy.

Where is Daddy?

So everyday Eden asks about a million times "where is daddy?" Then she answers the question herself replying "he's at work." Well, for Valentines her great grandmother sent her a Valentine with a dollar bill. Eden thought it was great and for some reason she kept calling it her ticket. So, the other day we are riding in the car and she asks "where's daddy" and I reply "at work" she then goes on to ask "why" and before I can answer her question she answers it for herself "he has to make lots of tickets!" I don't even know where she got that, but I had to laugh! Yes, daddy does have to make lots of tickets!!!!!

Eden was very excited to go through her Valentines box from her preschool party. She came home and dumped it out all over the floor. She then began opening each Valentine and reading them aloud! It was too funny! Once that was over she just started eating the candy and the sweets didn't stop all day. Oh well, it is Valentines Day! Poor Thomas.... all he got was rice cereal!!!

Eden LOVED the airplane!!! She was up at 5 am as we headed to the airport to catch our flight so we thought for sure she would nap.... I guess the excitement took over because the girl was wired the whole way until literally landing in Orlando! She finally crashed as we were pulling up to the terminal. KIDS! So the first picture is her getting on with her princess back pack full of toys and the second is her as we arrived in Orlando and dad had to carry her princess back pack!!!!

Yes, I am finally blogging again. It is long over due, but I am posting our pictures from our Christmas in Florida. We all had a wonderful time together. I am not sure what impressed Eden the most. The airplane, my parents backyard, animal kingdom, the beach, the ducks (which she had to feed every morning), or the gators!

Last Christmas

Here we were a year ago. My has Eden changed. Thomas was just a little bean in my belly! It was a fun and busy Christmas. Santa and his elves (Tyler and all my siblings) pulled an allnighter putting train sets and star war ships together. Once we got it all together at about 3 am we realized we didn't have batteries for Samuel's train set!!! That couldn't be! So, Dustin was off at 3 am Christmas morning determined to find batteries for his sons train set. Good thing he did because the train set was a hit. What a good dad! And to tell you the truth, that was probably the best part of Christmas that year. Staying up all night talking and laughing with my siblings. I will miss you guys this year!

Caught Cuddling

Well, here it is..... she likes her little brother! I busted her cuddling him and watching Mickey's twice upon a Christmas. I had to get the camera out, but once I started snapping she quickly stopped cuddling. I guess she doesn't want us to know that she really does love him afterall.

Our little Ballerina!

In an attempt to distract Eden from her world as she knew it being completely destroyed, we enrolled her in dance class thinking it would be a great idea. Uh, bad idea. In her very first class, not only was she the only little ballerina wearing a pink leotard, she was the only one who thought she was enrolled in a boxing class. As soon as the teacher brought out some cowboy hats for the kids to wear, she immediately went to the first boy (why boys were in the dance class, we don't know?!) who had just put on his hat and decked him, scratched his face and took his hat. The teacher had to break up the fight and Eden got her hat. Apparently the little boy has since dropped out of the class. Hopefully, it was b/c he just didn't want to dance. Our sweet ballerina!!

We have finally entered the world of blogging. After admiring all the blogs of friends and family, we have decided to join the ranks of the computer literate. Well, we're not there yet, but at least this is a start. Our family has grown to four as we welcomed out little boy, Thomas Theodore Todd last week, August 28, 2007. Of course, big sister Eden wants nothing to do with him right now, but we are excited nonetheless.
